For cannabis cultivation, more light is not necessarily better; of course, neither is less light.
Light Saturation
Within a certain range of light intensity, photosynthesis increases as light intensity increases. However, beyond a certain point, photosynthesis plateaus and no longer increases. This critical point of light intensity is referred to as the light saturation point.
Light Compensation
Below the light saturation point, as light intensity decreases, photosynthesis also diminishes. The light intensity at which the organic matter produced by cannabis through photosynthesis balances the matter consumed by respiration is known as the light compensation point.
